1st March Giveaway!

It is so awesome to find amazing talented friends!  My best friend introduced me to Kendall's talent and I couldn't wait until a later month to feature her & to GIVEAWAY one of her beautiful hats!  The pictures below are examples of her Spring Sunhats.  If you win she will custom make you a Spring Sunhat!!  So read below to find out how to enter!!

Where are you from? From Overland Park, KS

Married, single, kids? I'm married to my amazing husband Jarod. We have two wild boys, Gage, 4 and Mason 2.

What do you enjoy doing with your free time? I enjoy traveling and running. I also like to garden, but my LOVE is cooking and entertaining.

Favorite color? Sea glass/Blue green

Favorite food? So many things...But I love slow cooked pork...it can be made into many different meals.

If you could throw a party for yourself, what would the theme be? Wow, hard to decide, I am usually doing the planning for others. I love my annual summer girls weekend with wine and gossip and good food. I am pretty laid back.

Which talent you wish you had, but you don’t? I love music, but am not musical. I wish I could really sing or play an instrument.

Who or what inspires you to be creative? I love to look at the world around and see what colors come together in nature.

What thing or things do you enjoy shopping for at Michaels/Hobby Lobby or any craft store? Yarn, yarn, yarn.

Tell me about your etsy shop/online store. How, why, when did you start your business? To be honest, I am not a fancy computer wizard. I am sure my site could use some TLC, but I hope it shows the variety of what I can produce. I started getting more serious about my crocheting last fall, so I am still in the baby stage of making it a business, but I LOVE what I am doing.

What do you love most about blogging, facebook, and/or having your own etsy shop? My degree is in interior design, but I have been a stay at home mom for 4 years now. It is wonderful to get back to working with color and textiles and creating beautiful things!

Weekend Fun



So my other passion besides embroidering and photography is baking!  I have done a lot of it lately.  Derrick has actually asked me to stop baking!! Mmmm.....anyone want some baked goods??  This cake was for a very special little girl who I adore!  She celebrated her first birthday with family and friends this past weekend.  Happy 1st Birthday Taizley!!
